Irritation or STD???

Question

So a week ago, I hooked up with a guy bigger than I'm used to. (Condoms were definitely used) He went a little fast through foreplay so I wasn't as ready as I should have been... Long story short, I'm pretty sure he tore something...

I have been a little sore since then but most recently, I noticed some irritation along the outside of my vagina after shaving. It's not blistery, just red and inflamed...? Not sure how to describe it.

So could the irritation be from shaving too hard, healing from the tearing, or could he have given me an STD?? I'm very paranoid about all of this stuff. Please help

Go get it swabbed asap. I have HSV-1, and anytime I shave it gets swollen and red just like you said. The fact that it's been sore for so long also is a red flag. It may be nothing, but it is definitely worth getting checked out just tk be on the safe side

This is basically a friction burn- sometimes me and my boyfriend get a little ahead of ourselves and fastfoward through foreplay and get straight to it, then he's also really big compared to me who's still as tight as a virgin (weirdly enough..) and we like to go super fast and hard. I always shave before we have sex so since you said you shaved, I think it was also an irritation to the "open wounds" like those little specks of blood coming from some of your pours if you get those after shaving. But mainly that pain is friction irritation from going so fast. Pretty normal you shouldn't worry too much about it. If it last for more than 2 days and gets worse, then maybe consider getting it checked out but you're pretty much all in the clear 💕

Update: I'm 90% sure it's a yeast infection. :(
