raw feeling

37.5 weeks preggers, do any other ladies have this chaffing from the inside kind of feeling on the top of their bellies? Hard to describe I guess but it just feels raw, it's a constant feeling and just makes me feel bla, can anyone explain to me what this feeling might be? I've never felt a practice contraction, I have a pretty high pain tolerance so I could be feeling contractions and not know it I'm not sure.... anyone??
