Is anyone going to mix feed? Breast and bottle?

I'm still not 100% sure on how I want to feed our baby when she arrives and have been thinking about combination feeding, using a mixture of breast feeding and bottle feeding. Has anyone successfully combined breast and bottle feeding their baby?

I work full time. So even though my baby was fed exclusively breast milk, he was fed breastmilk via bottle when I'm at work. I still have to pump every 3-4 hours when I'm away from him. I love breastfeeding. It's such a magical bond. I also think it does wonders for your figure. This is 3 months and 6 months ppm with #1 and 37 wks with #2.

I've done both with my two little ones and plan to do same with this one. I thought that they'd get confused with two options; so, I never introduced the binky, but I think they would have been fine. I'm sure some people have trouble, but we did well. Neither of my girls had a problem going back and forth. I pumped what I could because my in law babysat, but if there wasn't enough they also used formula. Good luck!

I'm going to do my best to breastfeed and when/If I need to I'll bottle feed. But I've been reading so many different things that If breastfeeding gets really difficult, makes you depressed and it's just not for you.... go with bottle feeding! Baby rather have a happy momma & be fed, than a stressed out, sad momma!

I'll be doing both right away. With my daughter, I waited 5 weeks to introduce a bottle and it took me 3 weeks to get her to take it. I don't want to have that problem this time.

I'll be doing this once I go back to work. I'm taking 12 weeks of maternity leave and my doc said start introducing the bottle after 4 weeks when your supply is established. That will give baby time to get used to the bottle as well. I'll still breastfeed at home on evenings / weekends. I'm hoping things work smoothly!

I will be, I want to mostly breastfeed however I know there will be times my husband will want to feed him so I will be pumping as well.

Me! Hubby really wants to feed the baby so I'll breastfeed all day until he gets home I'm the evenings then he can give him the bottle and I'll pump while he feeds him

I plan on doing both. I didn't plan on introducing a bottle or formula so early with my first, but it happened and we were able to do both without any confusion until she was diagnosed with cmpa at 5 weeks. It was SO nice to have my husband help with night time feeds!
