Just had my second ultrasound yesterday at 7 weeks 3 days and got to see baby and the heartbeat (141 bpm). Today the doctors office calls me and tells me that the doctor saw a second empty gestational sac on the ultrasound. They said it looks like twins and either one of them didn't make it in which case the empty sac will dissolve, or it might not be big enough yet. They're repeating the ultrasound in 4 weeks. Did this happen to anyone else and what was the outcome?
