abortion???

Question

I just found out that I am pregnant. I have been with my boyfriend for 4 years. I'm 19 and a full time college student and this was not something I wanted.. I'm really considering terminating the pregnancy. Any advice or thoughts are welcomed

College is awesome and I wouldn't sacrifice that experience because of pregnancy. My best friend was pregnant in college, had an abortion, and graduated. Now she's got one on the way that came in better timing and she's excited! Nothing wrong with having an abortion, you have a right to your body. Good luck, girl!!

I always think about what the initial thought was.
It's like you find out you're pregnant, everyone gets nervous, weird reality setting in feeling.
But there's two after reactions: scared but optimistic and scared and feeling like your world is crushed. Think about how your initial reaction will set the mood for the rest of your pregnancy and even more importantly, after the birth of your child.

Making the decision is hard but it's something you can't ask strangers.
 You even considering an abortion means you have options. Life isn't easy. Both decisions will make you or break you. 
Money isn't everything, the way you raise that child is.

Talk to your boyfriend about it and do what you feel is best! If you're more focused on career stuff right now that is fine. In my opinion it is more ethical to have an abortion than to have a kid you're not able to care for. The earlier you get an abortion, the easier it is to go through with it. It is not by any means an easy or painless decision, but I don't think it's one you would regret.

You are still very young and having a baby is probably if not the biggest commitments in life. I wasn't ready at 17 and now I'm 25, married, done with college, and having my first in a few days and I'm still not sure if I'm ready! I'm glad I didn't have a child when I was younger because I know I wouldn't be where I'm at today if I had. But it really is up to you and your decision I just wanted to share my experience. Whatever you choose is right for you and you don't owe anyone anything.

I have a friend who was pregnant twice during college. Her babies motivated her to do better in college. In my opinion I wouldn't get an abortion. You will regret it later. As an adult you should have known you can get pregnant.

I am finishing up a degree in Industrial Engineering at the number five engineering school in the country. I started school when my son was 1. He is now five and I can honestly say he motivated me to do BETTER in college. I also met my now husband there and am going to be giving birth to my second baby right when I graduate. College and babies are not mutually exclusive. If you want to have an abortion, don't use college as a reason bc it's not. Trust me. I convinced a Co worker not to get an abortion a few years ago and she was worried for the same reason. She went on to complete a master's degree and loves her daughter like crazy. College us NOT  a reason.

It's so hard but it's not baby's fault. You are carrying a living baby! Your boyfriend may not agree with terminating. Trust me when I say babies are a blessing as so sweet and innocent. Look into other options!
