Hi everyone I just gave birth 3 months and 25 days ago vaginally with no complications. Do y'all think its normal for sex to still be painful???

It can be. Depends on  what you mean.

Does it still feel like needles? If so, that's dryness. Try a lot of foreplay or lube.

Does it burn still? That could be an infection and requires treatment.

Does orgasm hurt? That's not exactly normal, but does happen to some of us postpartum. Has to do with the muscles. Not much advice for that. I have that problem, and have been told kegals. No luck.

None of that? Speak to your ob.

Kinda like some other people have said, sorry if TMI but I just feel like we need a little more.. lubrication lol. Sometimes if we're just getting into it real quick and don't use any, I end up feeling so dry and painful, like rug burn or something haha - and it's not that I'm not into it, I just think our bodies work a bit different now!

I have the same thing happening to me. This is my 2nd and I didn't experience this with my first. I kinda chalk it up to my muscles not being strong enough, no idea if it's legit though just my thought. I walked/exercised after my first but haven't had time to yet between 2 kids and school. But you aren't the only one.

My OB said its because of dryness caused by low estrogen which is caused by breast feeding. You can get an estrogen cream which helps

Same here! Had my 2nd child august 29th didn't tare at all and didn't use pain meds after birth but 4 months later and it is very painful to have sex!

My doc said that the higher levels of certain hormones will "dry you out." I'm 4 months down and we have to use lube for it to be comfortable.

It's always painful when we start. Certain positions are worse. Try using lots of lube and starting in missionary with your legs up in the air.
