Blood Clots

Okay so I know that it's normal to get clots during your period and all but today i was in the shower and I had a clot that was just a little smaller than a quarter is that normal? Another thing is that after that I had to push one out like actually take a breath wait a second and push it out. Does this happen to anyone else or should I go to the doctor or something?
