father,daughter bonding?

my significant other will soon be working at an office job as a customer service representative, I just want to say I am happy for him, but I'm concerned about how much time he will get to spend with his daughter once she's here, I want them to have a special bond, I don't know what hours he will be given but I want baby girl to be close to her daddy :( . I'm a first time mom so please be understanding....

My husband spent a week at home after my c section and then back to work, he worked mostly just until 5-6 sometimes later but not often. He had a hard time bonding at first, but that was his own doing, he changed a lot when my daughter was born, he was really lost, I don't think he had any idea what having a child was actually going to be like and was probably very unprepared. He would come home every night and just go on his phone, he'd hardly hold her. My advice is just make sure your baby and it's father spend lots of time together when he gets home. I don't think my husband realized how much impact that can have for a baby. Now that my daughter is almost 3 he's absolutely great! He was just very unprepared for the baby stage. Which was his own damn fault in my opinion. We had a lot of fights, but always worked through them (hormones don't help😋) . My daughter is very much a mama's girl, but I absolutely love it. I'm currently away from work and tonight for the first time without provoking, I did a video call with her and she said "mama, I miss you"😟. 
I'm really hoping my husband will be more helpful this time around, but at the very least I know he will help out lots with our daughter, and that itself will be a big help for me.

My hubby used 2 weeks of vacation time as paternity leave, and then worked from home for 2 weeks when I went back to work. While I was still home on maternity leave he would give baby her bath, and put her to bed. This gave me some time to myself. He will still put her to bed most nights, and she goes to bed better for him than me.

My husband alternates between working 5 days a week, and working 3 days a week. All 14+ hour shifts. Every 3 months he rotates between day and night shifts. It's going to be hard, but it's the days off that will be important for bonding time.
