Does Santa wrap presents?

Now that we have a baby, my husband and I started talking about holiday traditions and I found out that Santa wrapped his gifts, while at my house the wrapped presents were from family and Santa just left our gifts out for us! How does Santa do it at your home?

We do it this way. All wrapped gifts under the tree are from us. We put them under the tree gradually and as the pile grows so does the anticipation.  The biggest or most expensive gift they ask for is always from Santa. It is unwrapped, Assembled and sitting beside the tree with a simple bow.  The stocking and everything in it is also only from Santa. They are allowed to immediately have both santa items but must wait on everyone to be up for tree gifts.  I know people who open one gift on Xmas even. People who don't do santa. People who put gifts out while the kids are sleeping and everything was santa. It really doesn't matter how you do it. Just keep the magical feeling and anticipation alive for your child one way or another.  We choose santa for our four to an extent because we want them to know daddy has to work hard to provide Christmas. But also want to keep the magic and imagination in it so santa is still in the picture. He brings the most anticipated item and just puts the cherry on top. We don't need all the recognition. The little glowing faces on Christmas morning is plenty for us. My son is 8 and has pretty much caught on obviously.  But he still makes a Christmas list with dear santa and a Santa gift. It's all about them being happy and feeling the Christmas spirit and all it includes.  Family and all our blessings is always put before anything and they are well aware of that.

All gifts are wrapped. Most of the gifts are from Mom and Dad. But there are a few special items from Santa, because they ask for them or we thing they are special gifts. Those are wrapped also but in special "Santa paper." It's usually glittery with Santa on it. So they are all wrapped, but wrapped special

My family didn't do santa. Santa gave wrapped gifts at my husbands house. BUT he found out that santa was not real at a very young age because he found "Santa's" wrapping paper in his mom's closet.

We do family gifts on Christmas Eve and all Christmas morning gifts are from Santa. Santa wraps gifts....I like the drawn out process of opening gifts.

We usually do Santa unwrapped. If it's something that isn't wrapped, it is with a separate wrapping paper the kids have never seen. But I have an 18 year old and 12 year old twins and don't have to worry about this baby for a couple years. I guess it just depends on what it is. Oh and I just remembered the reason we started wrapping Santa gifts. Our kids would wake up really early and look downstairs.

We are going to do stockings from us,  not santa and one or two unwrapped set up toys from santa but by no means the biggest or most expensive because think about the conversations at school " oh! santa got me a dirt bike!"  "oh! Santa got me a giant doll house!"  then theres that one kid in the poorest family....  "oh,  santa got me a new shirt...."

I grew up where the night before Christmas eve my grandpa (6'2,280lbs and a snow white beard) would dress up in a Santa suit and put presents under the tree, all were wrapped, and Christmas eve morning we did our Christmas because that's our tradition, cause none of us have any patience lol. I hope to be able to do that with my son next year since he's only 7 weeks old now, and next year he'll be just over one and can enjoy it more.
