Co Parenting and Holidays

So im a single mother with 1 & half year old. Her father and i arent together and he is in her life etc.. His family and however can be very rude to me even after i give them what they want. Christmas is coming up and I want my daughter with me the whole christmas. He wants to have her half of christmas but he just had her for a whole week and i let him take her out of state. Last christmas, it was ruined because i drove an hour for his family to see her and sat in the car for 4 hours until they were done. This christmas i just want her home with me. Is that so bad that I want her with me? How do I go about telling him I want her with me? I told him ill think about it, im just stuck. Please help lol.
