I'm in a serious medical issue / cheating boyfriend?

I have never had a yeast infection, only two UTIs ever... never had any stds. Tested regularly. I got tested before my iud was inserted (skyla). Everything was good. Insert d last days of period.. no pain. Then a week later me and my boyfriend have sex in a hotel. We've been "faithful" for two years. He came in me for the first time. I start bleeding and then all this pain in my abdomen follows. Bleeding doesn't stop. Pain gets worse and worse. I go in and my dr checks iud. Looks good. She does std test. Comes back with TRICHOMONIASIS.

Wtfffffffff I NEVER CHEATED. DID HE CHEAT! She said it's only transmitted through sex but u really don't believe that. Like can it be given any other way? Could he really not of cheated? Could it of came from hotel? Since that was the first time he ejaculated does that mean he could of had it but I never caught it until now?

First of all, trich is not this super dangerous thing that wil ruin your life. I hope your dr went over this with you, but it seems like you don't trust your dr. It is one of the most common STIs. It is a parasite, and is usually gone within one round of antibiotics. Permanent consequences are extremely rare.

Second of all, is it possible that he had trich before and it just hadn't transmitted to you? The majority of people with trich never show symptoms. If you've been using condoms every other time, it would make sense that if he had trich it wasn't transmitted to you until the time without a condom.

Both of you need to get on antibiotics, and do not have sex again until you have finished the WHOLE ROUND. Even if your symptoms go away, you need to finish it. Not finishing is how we get antibiotic resistant parasites. Y'all need to sit down and talk this through, and find out if he's been cheating

I'm pretty sure you can only catch trich through sexual contact, but it can go uncured for months or even years so maybe he had it before y'all got together. It's just strange that he had no symptoms or nothing but also you don't always have to have symptoms with it. I wish you the best and hope he didnt cheat on you!
