Has Monitstat ever given you more itching and burning than you had before?

Has anyone had a yeast infection during this pregnancy? I'm 21 and this is the first one in my whole life. It itched for 3 days and on the third day (today) I had to go to the doctor first thing in the morning because I couldn't sleep from how much I was itching. Then I get to the doctor (5 hours later) I walk out of there with a diagnosis of a yeast infection and a script for Monistat. I used it about 2 hours ago. For the first 20 min I was crying because I was burning and itching beyond belief. It's been a while and I feel A LOT better. My sister and mom said it's normal to have but this is something that no one tells you before you use it. Have any of you used monistat and burned and itched like hell????
