what is he trying to say?

I told my baby father that I do not want the baby's name if it's a boy after him I just don't want too. I don't think that because it's a boy it should be name after the father he's so old fashioned. And I feel like I have no saying. And then he tells me he is going to give the baby his last name too. And I told him why not mines , my last name is nice and he goes he doesn't know if my last name will change 🙄 like what do you mean? Also i what can I say I really don't want Charles as a name for my baby
