Not sure when to test yet...
Hi everyone, this is my first post, and I'm a bit new to TTC.
My husband and I decided on 04/27 to try to concieve for the first time. I was on birth control prior, but I had missed at least a week worth of birth control. I haven't had a regular period in a while, mainly because I was on a BC regime that required me to take an active BC every day, no placebo pills. Main reason for this was because I have PCOS, and doing so helps reduce my symptoms (mainly pain).
We BD'd on 4/27, 4/29, 4/30, 5/1. On 4/30, I took an opk, and I'll attach the picture. I don't think it was positive because I've heard it's supposed to be as dark or darker than the control line. On 4/28, 4/29, and 4/30, I had very light spotting. I got a thermometer to start temping on 5/2, temp was around 96.4, started rising day to say, and has been consistently hovered around 97.2 to 97.6 since 5/4.
Since 5/3, I've been experiencing nausea. It started that evening, and has been consistent every single day. Driving / motion makes it worse, eating makes it better for a short while. Also had other symptoms, which I have never experienced in my life in conjunction with PCOS. I suspect I might be pregnant, but I know it's too early to show yet on the $1 dollar tree tests, as I tried this afternoon.
What I don't know is how long my usual cycle is, because I haven't had one in quite a while. I don't know how long my period length is, as it's my first month off BC.
If you were me, what date would you start to test with an early prediction test? Or a regular test?
Thanks for the help, and for reading this long post. I wish you all the best in your journeys!
Below is the picture of the 4/30 opk.
