CoSleeping yes or no?

Question

So there are a few nights when cosleeping is our only option. However most of the time my son sleeps in his own crib. What are some of your opinions on co-sleeping? Do you cosleep? Do you think its safe?

I swore I wouldn't cosleep before I had baby.
Now that's she's here I only cosleep and will until she is no longer breastfeeding.
We have one of the snugglenest cosleepers in our bed for her

I say do whatever you feel comfortable with. I personally don't care for it but do it periodically to get some sleep. I just feel he is safer i his crib at times.

With my first two I was very adamant about not co sleeping and was going to have baby in crib this time too but I have been co sleeping simply because my fiancée ex wife had an 8 month old pass away recently in his crib from a blanket. So I have been swaddling baby and sleeping in my onesie pjs so I don't need a blanket and sleeping with baby because I'm a light sleeper and any noise wakes me up and I will be right there.

Whatever works for you darling :) My son has been in his own room since a month old and people thought I was doing it wrong. I don't care though because we all get sleep that way.

It can be safe. It can be very unsafe. There is tons of information on how to bed share safely and I think it also comes down to knowing your baby's sleep habits.

At the moment we bed share almost every night and I'm comfortable doing so because I have the bed to myself, have the covers up to below my waist and I know that my baby doesn't move around lots in her sleep so I'm not afraid that she would wiggle herself under the covers. We both seem to be pretty light sleepers any way (yayyy 😐) so any accidental bump tends to wake us both. When we don't bed share she is in a cot besides me.

I never planned on cosleeping either. My girls always have their own beds and we start out every night in our own beds. I do have a cosleeper for when they are super little. But when they wake up to nurse I just pull them in bed with me. My older girls are usually in their own beds all night but if someone has a bad dream or really wakes for any reason (my 5 year old gets up to pee and will come to my bed some nights) they end up in bed with us... I don't mind as long as they aren't kicking me in their sleep.

Your family and your baby.  Understand the risks and do what is best.  A sleeping baby is best

I co sleep. I have since my son was a week old, he's 8 weeks old on the 31st. It works for us. It doesn't for everyone though.
