Clear blue advanced ovulation test

Okay, I took one late last night, around 3am and it was a solid circle, same as the past few days. Then today I take one around 2pm after waking up from a nap and it's a solid smiley face, but didn't take one earlier today. I took the strip out and this is what the lines looked like. I'm just curious as to if this is positive, why it skipped the flashing smiley and went straight from solid circle to solid smiley face. Or could it have been a faulty test?
