Why do relationships change in time? At first your all lovey dovey , happy to see each other, say you love and miss each other. Then after months or years of being together all that lovey dovey stuff stops. What does this mean? Does it mean he's not interested anymore or  the relationship grown from that stage?

It changes, it's natural. I'm so happy with where my husband and I are right now. We're still very "lovey-dovey" because we choose to be. Been engaged since 2011 and married since 2013. I wouldn't change a thing about him. We have our disagreements but at the end of the day, he doesn't even like being in a different room to me.. and I'm the same. We cook together, we do it all together :) it's what you make it. If you let the spark die, it's like a friendship.. not something I want.

That lovey dovey stuff should never stop...
I grew up watching my abuela and abuelo dancing and playing together. 64 years together and they still acted like they were young newlyweds. Constantly kissing, saying I love you, watching each other. He always held the door and pulled out her chair for her. She always curled her hair and made sure she was at her most beautiful for him. True love never fades

There's always that honeymoon faze in the beginning for a few months that doesn't last very long unfortunately. I think that it changes because during your honeymoon phase you're not dealing with much reality you're just so concentrated on how infatuated you are by the person but then when reality hits it all starts to change and plus you get more comfortable with the person over time so a lot of times guys feel like they already have you.. And since the "chase" is over they don't have to try as hard and do and say all the sweet things anymore after you've been together for so long! My boyfriend and I have been together quiet a while and he continues to do and say the sweet things for me a lot, but it's never going to be like the honeymoon faze again! It's just how it works! Guys will still do sweet things etc if they genuinely care for you, but if everything like completely shut off then you might need to question things a little!

Relationships change because the people in them change...  We are constantly learning & growing from our experiences...   If we want to have a successful relationship/marriage then we need to accept that we will both be spending the rest of our lives getting to know who we are & who our SO is...

The dynamics change. When you are just getting to know each other, it's all you can think about. As time goes on, you not only see all the great things about each other, but you each see the flaws. It's natural over time to get a more realistic picture of the person you're with, and you get comfortable. Some of that is great-- I've lived with my boyfriend for a year and a half and it's like having a sleepover with your best friend every night! But then there's little squabbles over stupid stuff, and sometimes I feel like we don't appreciate each other as much because we're the only people we see!

I miss the cute texts (though occasionally he'll send them when he's in the living room watching tv & I'm reading in the bedroom. I think that's adorable and hilarious), but he'll still do sweet things for me. He always makes me breakfast and brings home flowers a lot ☺ I leave him post-it notes sometimes, and pick him up little stuff while I'm out shopping to let him know he's on my mind. I think people make conscious choices to stay "lovey-dovey" and it works. It's never the same as the beginning but honestly, I'm happier now where we are, with that same attraction and two years of trust and care. 😊
