feel bad and saddd

i didnt get my boyfriend anything for christmas this year due to my loss of job... I feel bad.😞 He bought me stuff ...but i didnt.. he knows my struggle right now so he said its okay as long as i took him to my familys to eat and hangout. But still i wanted him to open a present from me😰.. What should i do?.. My mom said she can buy him something but its still not the same coming from me.... worst christmas ever
