Best Baby Monitor?

Okay mommies! What's your favorite baby monitor system?
We had the Vtech safe and sound on our registry but now I'm seeing how horribly reviewed it is!

I have an angel care baby monitor. I'm not planning on using the sensor pad for breathing though

I had my 1st 7.5 years ago and used some old one we found lying around. No video or anything.. Just sound. But I loved that thing and will probably just use that again.

Honestly you don't even need an overpriced baby monitor. You can use a foscam or something similar. That's what we plan on getting. Less than $100. Our friend uses one. I was looking at alternatives and came across that recommendation on reddit.

Do not get anything but the simplest one. 
All hi-tech toys can be broken into/hijacked, some people are even driving around the neighborhood with the hi-tech devices and scanning for feeds from these monitors.

I wanted to get just a regular sound one then my best friend (also a first time mom) was dealing with teaching baby self-soothing  to sleep in her crib and baby kept trying to sleep on her face! So she went out and got a video monitor to settle her worries and go in and move her face when she fell asleep like this. I think I might just get a video monitor right away in case we need it. I'm not sure which one yet though

The research was so overwhelming but I decided on a Samsung at over $200. On the way down to my parents for the holidays I found a vetch safe and sound on Craigslist for $40. I figured I would just use it here the one time but I love it so far.

I'm just using a simple vtech monitor, where the parent unit is wireless so I can carry it around the house with me. I don't see a need for the video or high tech ones, I'm not worried
