HSG painful?

I've read horror stories and I'm scheduled for one in a few days!

They had a little trouble inserting the catheter so had to use a clamp on my cervix for a few seconds. That was very uncomfortable but only for those few seconds. The rest was not bad.

I had one a couple of weeks ago, my OB gave me very little information,  said he was sending me for an X-ray. So I didn't do any research, thought it would be simple in & out. My husband was off work & I even let him stay home in bed.  It really wasn't that bad but if I had to do it again I would take ibuprofen before hand & bring pads, I had spotting for 3-4days after & leaked the fluid the rest of that day.  & def would have requested hubby come with me.

I was also scared and I read a lot. It's more like having a heavy cramping pain but it is only painful when the dye is been pushed into your uterus. Make sure you take a pain med or ibuprofen at least 30 mins before the procedure

It's not that bad.  Some people feel nothing.
