How many of you opted for a c-section? I want to do vaginal but I'm worried of having to do both. My obgyn said baby b can go into distress after baby a is delivered. So what did you decide? Please comment

One of my OB's scheduled me for an induction on 1/6 but we have to do an ultrasound before we start to see if baby A is head down. She says she has only had one delivery in her career with twins where she had to preform a caginal for A and a C Section for B she said even if B is Breach she could go in and turn her or pull her out by her feet or B may just fall into head down position right behind baby A we will just have to see. I have had to singleton vaginal deliveries and I'm scared to death of having a C Section I have never had any surgery and I will avoid it if the doc is comfortable letting me

My ob won't even try vaginal with twins if one is breech.  At 20+4 both babies were head down but still have a lot of time to flip around.  I was told if by 34-35w if even one baby is breeched we'll schedule a c section.  If both babies stay head down I'll be allowed to try vaginal but I'll be required to have an epidural and deliver in an or just in case.

My only birth plan is get to hospital in time and go from there Iv had 5 vag- labours and hoping the same for twins but if it ends in a c-section I will do what it takes to get them here safe and sound

I was worried about the same thing, but my OB assured me that while it can happen, it was incredibly rare and she felt that I was a really good candidate for vaginal birth. Had them almost 2 weeks ago at 33 exactly and had a great experience with vaginal birth. I think part of it is your doctor and all in the practice really, being sure of their skills and ability to do that kind of delivery. I knew mine were experienced in it and all lovely, level-headed people, so we went for it. I am SO glad we did. Recovery was easy which was especially helpful with going back and forth between my room and the NICU.

I want to have a vaginal birth because that is what I have done with my two previous births. My ob says that only 44% of twin births are vaginally. He says it is because a majority of twins are not both head down. So far that is the case for me and it is looking more and more like I will have to have a c-section. :(

I planned a vaginal birth with my b/g twins! At 33 weeks I found out I had protein in my urine. 34 weeks it confirmed I had preclipsma. I was sent to L&D and my ob/gyn was on call so she rushed over to check on me. She looked at me and said I was fine. She sent me home. I got steroid shots as well for babies lungs to develop just in case. 35 weeks I came in. My BP and swollen feet/legs would not go down. She told me I needed em out tonight or tomorrow by c section bc said baby B won't like the labor process. I also could be in labor for 2 days. My husband and I opted for a c section for the next day. My son was 4 lbs 11 oz and my daughter was 3 lbs 12 oz. My twins are now 5 months old!

Saturday marked 26 weeks for my twins. I'm really hoping for a vaginal birth but, I've done a lot of research and everything that can happen definitely makes me nervous. I'm just trying to convince myself to relax and whatever happens happens. So hard though!!
