Coconut Oil for BV

So I've read that soaking a tampon in coconut oil for a few hours will help treat BV. Yet, I did it and got this as I pulled it out. It smelled sort of like coconut oil but fishy too. It didn't hurt when I pulled it out either. Have any of you ladies gotten this before?? Have you tried this remedy? Does it work?? Anything will help. I'm really dick deprived LOL. Thanks!!!!! ❤️❤️
