Has this happened to anyone else?

I'll go ahead and start by saying "yes, I plan on visiting a doctor very soon" but I wanted to reach out and see if anybody else has experienced this.

I don't know exactly how long it's been going on for (seems like 3-4ish months) but I've been getting these random sharp pains in my lower abdomen area. The pain literally only lasts like 4 seconds and then it goes back to normal. Lately, I've been trying to pay more attention to it. It's seems to only happen when I'm sitting/laying down and on the right side. For awhile I thought it was something like a nerve being pinched but it is happening way to often. I wouldn't say it's worse than a period cramp. 

Does anyone have an idea what this might be? Or has anyone experienced this before?
