cosleeping.. yes or no?

My daughter is 2 weeks old today and more often than not, I find her in bed with me after fighting for her to sleep in her bassinet. I'm nursing, so it's really easy for me to lay on my side and put my boob in her mouth and go back to sleep. We sleep so well! I just worry that I'll get too comfortable and roll over on her on accident-- but I'm not a big Girl or a heavy sleeper by no means.. if she's not in bed with me, she's crying in her bassinet. My point is, I love cosleeping. But I've heard it's a big no-no. What are your opinions?

I co sleep. I have since the day she was born and my baby is 6 weeks old now. My husband and I will lay facing her and often times she ends up the the nook of one of our arms with her head like resting in our arm pit. She sleeps soooo well and so do we. She was inside of you for 9 months she wants to be close to you because you're all she knows. If you're really dead set on having her in the bassinet so you feel safer you could try swaddling her and putting a warm rice pack right next to her and you could get a womb bear so it sounds like your heart

Cosleeping means to sleep in the same room as your baby… So having her in the bassinet actually is cosleeping. What you are talking about is bed sharing, a specific form of cosleeping. Look up safe bed sharing practices. If you cannot bed share safely by following the guidelines that you find when you Google it, then I would avoid bed sharing and continue to cosleep using your bassinet. If you can bed share safely following the guidelines, then that's perfectly fine. Give it a try.

A bassinet in your room is a great idea. And don't let all the naysayers of bed sharing scare you. It is the way it was done for centuries and all practiced in many cultures all over the world. Of course you have to be safe, and if you don't feel confident about it, don't do it.

I bed share with my 4 month old and did for a year with my first baby also.

I became a very light sleeper sheer having a baby.

Baby and I both sleep better and longer this way. Win win.

I don't like bed sharing, personally. But I have done it with both of my son's a few times, I also got lucky with pretty good sleepers. My first son refused to sleep unless he was on his tummy(how they had him sleeping in the NICU), we got judged pretty harshly for that, so I don't judge on what is best for others, but I do like to make sure parents know what to take into consideration when deciding if bed sharing is right for them. You should avoid bed sharing if anyone in the bed does not want to do it, is a heavy sleeper, rolls or moves a lot, has taken/takes medication/drugs/alcohol prescription or not. You should avoid heavy/large bedding and baggy clothing that could end up by baby's face. If bed sharing is what's best for you, it doesn't matter how others feel about it, just be safe and know the risks. I hope this helps you.

My son sleeps with me every night. He's now 7 months old and I tried so hard to get him in a crib when he was just born but he always cried and I just loved having him next to me. I hope he doesn't give me a hard time when he's older about going in his own bed, and I sometimes think about trying to get him to sleep in his crib, but I like having him in bed with me. I don't think there's anything wrong with co sleeping!

I loveeeeee consleeping with my 4 month old we did since 2 weeks.
He sleeps longer and I love cuddling with him.
I'm a stay at home mom my son wakes me up by putting his hands all over my face and his giggles and smiles make my morning everyday!
bUTTTt one thing that does suck is my so gets mad we don't have as much alone time since he is always there and I always cuddle with my little guy more than my boyfriend lol 
Also I alwayssssss have to be the one to put him to sleep now and if I leave to go to the bathroom and he doesn't feel me next to him sometimes he freaks out. Pros and cons but I would say more pros. I love it I'm a light sleeper  and hardly move at night so I feel comfortable having him

My baby girl is almost one month old and she's been sleeping in bed with me since she was 5days old ! I sleep on my stomach so baby and I are always face to face so I don't fear rolling over on her plus I sleep pretty light now that I've had her
