mirena iud, first period, no period?

Question

Hi! I got my mirena iud inserted December 9th. My last period was November 25th and so far my period is 3 days late. (I've been sexually active) I know the mirena can make your cycle crazy for the first few months, but most people have their periods last longer at first so I'm just looking for peace of mind that other people have also missed or had their first period on mirena MIA.

I had my first one and it lasted 16 days. I thought i was going to pass out. My Dr said that was normal for the first one and should get better within the next 6 months. I hope so because I am heavy bleeder prior to getting the IUD.
