Is marriage overrated?

All our lives we are taught you have to be married and have kids. But for me, I think marriage is overrated. All I need is a ring, I do not need a piece of paper to prove how much I love my man and how fully committed i am to him. I tell everyone he's my husband anyways. and no one asks me for my marriage licenses to price it.. Does anyone else agree?
