Relationship problems

Should your bf be too busy to text you for hours at a time, an comes up with excuses why, as in "my phone was on silent", "I didn't know you messaged me" <when he was clearly active on fb, "phone died" but still active on fb. Like I have to message him multiple times, an wait hours for a reply and then it stars right over again after he's sent one message. I shouldn't have to remind him to message me, or get his friends to get him to message me. Opinions.?
