gas and bottles

Is it ever safe to change bottles we are currently using Dr. Brown's because it helps with gas before we tried Avent and it caused my baby a lot of painful gas I would love to change back to Avent because there's not so many parts to clean but is it ever safe or will he have to use the dr. Brown's until he switches to sippy cup
