I got a taste of what real contractions feels like.
And lemme tell you, not fun!!!
I fell on the ice and landed on my butt twice this morning trying to go to work. Now I was obviously sore, but I had Braxton hicks when I got to work or at least I thought. They sent me home to go get checked out so I called my hubby and let him know I was going to the ER. My MIL and hubby went with me and the nurses and doctors checked me and baby out, monitored me for hours and hours. Had an IV for fluids so I wouldn't dehydrate.
Her heartbeat rate was great, in the 138-145 range the whole time but the contractions I was having were real and I am 1 cm dialated now. I fell in love with the hot pack 😂 it helped my back so much when I was having contractions considering every time I felt a big one it was in my back too. Eventually thanks to the IV and monitoring me the contractions did die off.
When I was discharged they gave us a little pink hat for her which was nice. But I'm just so glad she's okay and I didn't end up having her today. I'm 33 weeks + 4 days, so I still have a bit to go.
