DPO- what does it mean??

Question

The chart guide says "day past ovulation" but the next day has an O at the top of the chart... which I assume is for ovulation? How can my DPO happen before Ovulation? Help me! I am very new to charting!

Yes the o is for the day of ovulation and the numbers after are how many days past you are x
