Ovulation dates changed in app, smoked weed possibly after ovulation
This is the first month we are ttc, and I just started using the app this month, taking my temp every morning. I was supposed to ovulate tomorrow according to the app. So yesterday (two days before ovulation) we decided to smoke some weed since I won't be able to do it if I get pregnant for the next couple of years.
(Last time I smoked was 6 months ago, we are 30 something professionals, I just had a bit of FOMO).
So that was last night, we had sex before smoking. This morning I put my temp in the app and it updated my ovulation to last week! So now it looks like I was ovulating a week ago, and not only we possibly missed the window, because we were staying with family and didn't have sex, but if we did get pregnant from sex from a week and a half ago, the fetus is already damaged with smoking yesterday and drinking at Christmas dinner.
First question: does this change in ovulation days happen often? What is the point of the app if it updates the chance of pregnancy after the date has already passed?
Second question: I looked online a little for effects of alcohol and weed on fetus at time of conception, I didn't find anything conclusive. Does anyone know if this is bad for the fetus if I did get pregnant? Damnit I can't believe I messed this up.
P.s. I ordered the ovulation test from Amazon, I need better data.
