How to get rid of a cough??

so i have this horrrible cough its irrating my throat... Its itchyy... tylenol isnt working... Anything else for to calm down??? 😔im coughing every 2 minss...

Pineapple juice is more effective than cough syrup :) also, honey (raw, if you have it).

If you do oils: lavender, peppermint, frankensence, and eucalyptus, rubbed on your chest really does the trick for me

You need a cough syrup or something that has guaifenesin in it like dayquil or nyquil. Coughing is often because of congestion. The guaifenesin thins out the mucus and helps expel it, therefor less coughing. Muciniex is another great one for this. But drink lots of water while on these meds as water is needed to help them work. Also if you don't have access to any of these medicines right now try drinking some warm tea with lemon or honey, or just  warm water with lemon and honey. If you have none of that then just try warm water. The warmth will help open up your airways and help soothe everything. Tylenol won't help unless you have a fever and or pain. If you need a shopping list stock up on cough drops, a cough syrup, mucinex, tea (enchinacea tea is said to help with your immune system) and honey. Rest up and feel better!

I have the same problem. Hot tea stops the cough for a little while. I just started nyquil so I don't cough through the night. My throat is also sore now. 😤
