Ovulation test: low fertility to ovulation in one day?

Question

CD 9, 11, and 12 I took the ovulation test and got just a circle, no smiley at all. Then today, CD 13, I took it and I have a solid smiley all of a sudden! Is that normal? This is only my second month using this brand of test and last month I had 8 days of blinking smiley faces before I finally got the solid smiley. It just seems odd! And I ovulated on CD 18 last month. CD 13 seems way early, but I'm also on Clomid, which I hear can mess with ovulation.

​Anyone out there experience the jump from no smiley to solid smiley in a day? Any help is appreciated! =)

It's frustrating that I can't use the test stick the next morning after getting a solid smiley because the solid smiley stays on there for like 3 days after you test. I wanted to test this morning to make sure it wasn't a fluke. I have the internet cheapy ovulation test strips, which I used this morning (those had literally no second line at all.) but I've never seen a positive with one of those cheapies. I'm so confused!

​This is our second month on Clomid, and it feels so much more important to get it right! Ugh. I just need to stop stressing and DH and I will just have to try every other day for the next week or so to be sure.

​It'll be so nice when we finally get pregnant and this is all just a memory! :)

For the last four months that happened to me. I wouldn't get a blinking smiley, just straight to peak.

That happened to me too then right back down to the empty circle the next day. We went ahead with the IUI. This was the first time I'd ever had an ovulation test come back positive.
