I'm a freshman girl in college, and I'm having trouble meeting nice, decent guys. There are lots of them around, but so many of them seem like d-bags. Of course, I don't know every person on campus, so I'm making generalizations. But I'm just becoming frustrated. I'm a pretty modest, down to earth girl, and it seems like a lot of guys, again, I'm generalizing, go for the very immodest, wild girls who are up for hooking up with the snap of a finger. For example, I'll go out to party with some of my friends, and they'll be wearing high heels, short skirts and low cut shirts, while I'll be wearing black jeans, converse, sweaters and long sleeved shirts, etc... My friends always get hit on, get guys phone numbers basically thrown at them, and get grinded on all night. Me on the other hand, am usually not approached at all. I understand that it's college. Guys want to be care free and want to get girls. But I'm not going to change the way I am to get attention for guys. Am I looking in the wrong place? Or do guys all across the board find girls like me unattractive/too much like their 84 year old grandma? I guess Im just looking for some words of encouragement. Are there nice guys out there who want to actually take time to get to know girls instead of just banging 5 minutes after meeting at a party? Are there guys out there who think modest and simplistic girls are attractive? If anyone has any comments or advice, I openly welcome it!
