9 week old sleep problems?

Three nights ago, my 9-week old started waking every 1.5-2hrs at night. Our earlier solutions for sleep - baby-wearing, nursing, rocking - and his longer sleep "patterns" have suddenly disappeared.  He won't sleep in crib for longer than a few minutes, nor will he co-sleep adjacent to us in bed - now must be held while sleeping, usually by me or he screams his head off. Husband and I are reaching our breaking points.

Anyone else dealt with a sudden change like this? Mom and MIL keep suggesting formula supplementation but I'm not sure that would help get him to sleep in his crib again (though at least it could give my husband a way to soothe the baby and let me at least get a 3-hr stretch between breastfeeding). Thoughts?

You've hit a wonder week! They get fussy and demanding because their brain just (suddenly) started processing the world in a whole new way. Can last up to 5 or 6 days, but mine was about 2. The book (The Wonder Weeks) is worth a read, really helps to know what to expect and when.

I don't understand why formula supplementation is brought up as a solution so much.  It's weird.

Not sure what's going on but my 10 week old has been different for about a week and a half now. He has consistently been up every 2 hours to eat at night since he was born so that's still the same luckily he only eats for about 5-10 mins each time so it's not so bad and the nights haven't changed much cause I co sleep anyways. But in the day time he used to fall asleep while on the breast but now he cries and almost has a tantrum I have to hold him against my chest and rock him to soothe him then he falls asleep. Please note that before this he rarely rarely cried at all. I think Maybe there's a growth spurt or something right about now

My LO went through a spell like that where I had to hold him 24/7 and was up every 2hrs as well! For me to sleep I had to be on the couch with him on my chest patting his back till he fell asleep. If I ever tried to move him to lay him down he would wake up and just cry.Also I was kind of sleeping sitting up with him. I transitioned from formula to only breastfeeding when we brought him home from NIcU, I think some babies just get belly aches or reflux. I only had to do that for a week and a half with him. Now at 10w he is a belly sleeper and is in the bed with us
