Any military mamas?

So I have my first appointment Tuesday with one of the squadron doctors and I was wondering from other military mamas what should I expect?
I will be 7 weeks 4 days on the day of appointment.

My Husband is AD Army! My first apt was with a nurse and my primary to confirm pregnancy they chose blood over urine then my second appointment I was about 7.5 weeks with a nurse again they gave me a purple book filled out a lot of paper work and she asked a lot of questions then I went to lab for like a gazillion tubes of blood. Now my third appointment is 1.10.17 and it will be with a midwife physical pelvic and hear the baby's HR (what nurse told me) I go to an Army Medical hospital since I live in Fort Lewis / JBLM... good luck!!

🙌 I'm navy myself but it's my first pregnancy while serving (I was still civilian with my first).  I'm still trying to figure it all out myself

I did a urine test with medical right before going on leave. I'm on a tiny base so I'm guessing I'll end up getting referred out in town. Good to see other military mommas though 😊

Army mama here!! This will be my third pregnancy while in Service. I have been high risk everyone and each experience has been different. I have also been stationed at three different locations: 1) Colorado 2) El Paso, TX  and now Korea. Usually, your first appointment is after a blood or urine confirmation and it is with a nurse. You'll fill out a lot of paperwork, have labs, and receive your purple book! And then you have an appointment once a month and an anatomy scan around 20 weeks.  Being high risk I get seen more often, but my appointments are generally the same.
