Anyone going to try 😂laughing gas😂 during labor?

I'm hearing it relieves the pain and by these videos I'm watching they look like they are having a awful good time 😂😂

Yes. Ftm. Want to avoid an epidural if I can because I don't think it's for me. My hospital offers nitrous oxide or intravenous nubane as pain management alternatives during labor (one or the other not both at the same time). I think I will first opt for the nitrous oxide before I go the nubane route if I want to try and take the edge off contraction pain.

I would, and plan to bring it up at my next appointment, but from my own research I don't believe the hospital I will be at offers it.
The thing I liked about it is that if you decide you don't like it, it only takes a few minutes of breathing regular air for it to stop. I'm not interested in an epidural (open to it if need be)  bc I'm afraid of the effects lasting much longer than I need or want them.

I had some.... it only takes off the lower peaks of contractions ... so the beginning and the end of contractions are attenuated..... im in canada maybe the concentration is different.... mine was mixed with oxygen.... and it sure wasnt what i thought from movies hahaaa it didnt make me laugh or anything.... but concentrating on breathing through the mask woukd keep my mund busy i guess..... but it sure was a "little" high...... lol

It is a viable option, I have had doula clients swear by it. But if you have MTHFR (Methyltetrahydrofolate Reductase) it is not recommended.
