how far along did you tell parents / family?

Hubby and I just found out we are pregnant and exactly 4 weeks along based on my last period. I am curious when everyone decided to tell their parents and close family?

I told my parents the day I found out. My youngest is a kid who requires a lot of medical time and I had a miscarriage after her so I'm not hiding much anymore, lol. People outside our families or close friends will find out when it's safe- 12 weeks-ish.

I know the rate of miscarriage drops significantly after seeing/hearing the baby heartbeat (if >120). So I'm waiting for just after that. If they do an US at my first appt at 7w. I'll tell them after that.

I am 4 almost 5 weeks (approximately) & we just told my parents & his on Friday! Obviously we aren't telling too many people yet but we couldn't keep our excitement from our family! :) my mom and I are really close so I wanted her to be a part of all of my pregnancy!

We told our parents right away and siblings at 8 weeks. We had a miscarriage soon after but we don't regret telling them because we were able to have our closest loves ones' encouragement and support while healing from the loss of our first baby. Next time I get pregnant I will probably try my best to wait until the second trimester to tell anyone.

We have our appointment January 20th and I'll be 7 weeks. We plan on telling our parents after that!

I'm waiting to tell my mom and husband's parents (who we're SUPER close with) until after my first ultrasound on 1/19. We'll try and wait for a few weeks after that to post anything on Facebook. It's hard to keep it in when you're so excited! But I personally want to hear the heartbeat and be closer to a somewhat safe zone before sharing with the world.

Had a CP back in October BFP lasted all of 2 days. Needles to say I didn't have a chance to tell anyone except hubby. I've had + tests for 7 days now since last Monday 10 DPO 🙌🏼 with my internet cheapies darkening each day. So I'm feeling a little more confident. 16 DPO now and they're SO dark!! Praying for a sticky baby 🙏🏼

In October I called my mom crying after what happened. She's like why didn't you tell me??? I want to know the good and the bad not just the bad!! So our plan was to tell my parents today when we went over their house for dinner. But that won't happen now cause my dad was sick all last week and now my mom is!! Ugh!!! So now we gotta wait till Saturday. Then after we tell my parents we'll tell my husbands parents probably shortly there after. I just wanna tell my mom first. I'm super close to her and we talk everyday. I want her to know first.

I live with my parents so told them and my closest friend and I am 4 weeks 6 days but it's literally just because I live with them and my mum would have been upset if she wasn't one of the first to know lol I don't know when my SO is going to tell his parents, probably when it's safe and I'm far enough a long. I don't think he even feels it's real yet 😂
