Mirena IUD late period
Hey guys- just wanted to update so that anyone in my situation can calm down a bit.
I have had the Mirena IUD for 3 months, and my period was 5 days late... and then 15 days late... and then 25 days late- and I was worried!
I know that Mirena Periods can stop after a year, but since I have only had mine for three months I was so worried that my period wasn't coming.
I was dizzy,nauseous, and I even noticed that I was being upset by slight scents that no one around me could detect, I also spotted for a day around a week after I had sex and thought it was implantation bleeding.
Turns out- I decided to stop worrying around 15 days late because I know that Mirena IUDs are very effective. And now, 29 days late, my period has arrived!
The point is if you're on Mirena it can make you miss periods no matter how long you've had it for. Every body is different so stop googling things if you think you're pregant. If you're on Mirena and used extra precautions as well, or even if you didn't, it's SO MUCH more likely that your period is messed up than pregnancy.
So stop worrying your period is either just super late or it has stopped from the IUD! 🎉
