Labor?

How do you know when you are going into labor? I'm a first time mom and don't know what to expect. I'm freaking out a little bit because of the unknown.

When your contractions are consistant....3-4 minutes apart lasting 1 minute for about an hour is when you should go in, in most cases. Your contractions will feel like a tightening and lots of pressure in the beginning and gradually get more painful. Laboring at home for a while and keeping track of your contractions is a good way to go. You will be more comfortable that way. 
Don't wait for your water to break...it may never and it could be too late. Only 10% of women have there water break before labor starts and some women have there have it broken by the doc even after labor starts. Good luck, you got this mama. Just remember to breathe!

L&D Nurses pretty much told me not to come in unless my water breaks, contractions are ON TOP of each other, or if you start bleeding heavily!!

💫 Spotting is normal since your body is opening up. But heavy bleeding or clots is a NO-NO!

So for me unless one of those 3 things happens to me, I'll be at home relaxin' laboring there lol

I didn't know ! I'm also a ftm gave birth 9 days ago I woke up in pain in my tummy  and had discharge when I went to the toilet so I called up and they told me to come in I might have a urine infection or I could be going in to labour as soon as I got there I was already fully dialated and had him early at 35 weeks 4 days !
