Do you wake your newborn as recommended?

I don't because baby is happy and healthy.

Nobody ever recommended to me that I wake her after a certain amount of time. No baby will starve to death because they slept too long! Their bodies know what they need. Sometimes it's extra sleep, sometimes it's extra food. I just let her have whatever she needed when she needed it.

No. I was told once baby goes above initial birth weight, there's no need to wake up a baby to feed.  Unless ur baby needs to catch up on weight, there's no need for waking up to feed.

No my doctor told me not to wake my daughter. She is a month old and She eats every 3 hrs during the day and then goes 5 hrs between feeds during the night on average. Last night she slept for 9 1/2 hrs straight without waking. I felt horrible when I woke up but she was so happy and content all day!

I did because she was a month early. The nurses stressed the fact that I had to wake her up which of course made sense bc she was 4 pounds and then went down to 3. Now she's 5 pounds going on 6 and I don't wake her. She wakes up when hungry and latches on extremely well. We're still supplementing to get her weight up but hey every situation is different. I say go with your mommy instincts.

I was told to wake him up every 2-4 hours until he was back up to his birth weight, so I woke him up every three. He'd have slept 8 hours if I'd let him. He wasn't back to birth weight at his one week appointment. He'd surpassed it at his two week appointment, so that's when I stopped waking him. He started waking me every couple of hours around that time anyway.

Nope. She did just fine waking me up when she was hungry, and now that she's a month old and past her birth weight I don't even give it a second thought. She gave me around 7 hours of sleep last night, it was amazing 😍

I was told to until she made her birth weight.  Now that she has I go off of her cues. Sometimes she's more tired then hungry and vice versa.
