If they're consenting adults, I don't see why not. Doesn't affect me. However, I live next to the warren jeffs flds town and there is obvious abuse going on, girls forcing to be married. it's heartbreaking. Some of them being married as young as 14. I don't think they want it to be legal because then they get government assistance for being young, single and with lots of babies - even though they're getting financial help from their husband. That's where legalizing it gets tricky for me.

No, because marriage is sacred and meant to be between two people only. Why tell people that cheating is wrong, then decide you want to marry 50 other people? Adultery is ALWAYS wrong, no matter the circumstances.

I don't agree with it (meaning I wouldn't do it) but there shouldn't be a law against it as long as everyone agrees on the terms of the relationship. But I think women should be about to have more than one husband if they choose as well.

To me it makes a mockery of marriage. I don't understand how you can say you truly love someone and want to commit to that person for the rest of your life but then also like someone else and want to be with them too. It's like having your cake and eating it. I know it doesn't hurt if everyone agrees and I know it's their business but it just doesn't sit right with me. The legal part I guess isn't that bad, it's more the 'marriage' side to it. But then it's not something I need to understand and I wouldn't judge anyone for it. I find it odd but each to their own. I doubt making it legal would change much anyway if you are in that situation, people will do it regardless.

It shouldn't be totally legalized BUT, since adultery in some places can influence court about custody if children are involved, for me it should be like a contract you sign along with the marriage certificate, like "Our marriage is polygamous". If that makes sense.
