first trimester bleeding

I'm 5 weeks, This morning I wiped and there was bright red blood on the toilet paper, after that the bright red was gone but I have had brown discharge all day, not a whole lot, but a little every time I wipe and had a bit in my underwear. One time there was this small clot looking thing. I am waiting for my blood test results to see what my levels are at. I had a Pap smear on Friday, and also had sex, there was some spotting (brown blood) but it stopped yesterday and then this morning it started back up with what I mentioned above. Is this normal or should I be concerned about a miscarriage:(
