How long did it take you to feel better postpartum?

What has your recovery process been like? Did you have a vaginal or cesarean birth? How are you feeling? When was the worse time? ||Poll Question:|| How long did it take you to feel pretty normal?

It took me a good 4 months to really feel back to "normal". My recovery was one thing after another.

Took about 3 weeks to feel normal after my c section. I mean, it's a new, sleepless normal. But physically I was back to normal.

It took me two months to feel normal again just in terms of being able to walk and start to exercise without discomfort. Sex is still not the same at 4 months PP. The worst was the first 3-4 weeks. I had a 2nd degree tear.

I had a vaginal birth with some tearing that required stitches. I was SO sore. As the soreness was almost gone (5 weeks pp give or take) I was trying to get up into a barstool and my foot slipped. Thankfully I landed in the seat. But I came down pretty hard on my lady bits. The soreness started all over again! After that, it took probably 3-4 weeks for everything to completely go away

4 months PP .. Don't feel normal. Excessive anxiety, ambivalence towards husband, mildly depressed.

My hormones are whack.

I haven't had sex in about 4 1/2 months.

Gained a lot of weight during pregnancy and hate my body. Struggling to get diet and exercise in order.

Define feeling better...

By 2 weeks PP,  the soreness in my lady parts and the bleeding were gone.  I stopped taking a stool softener for fear of busting a stitch.  I had some tearing and they gave me a few stitches (they didn't tell me how many).

We tried to have sex 4 weeks PP and it burned so badly that I made my husband stop.  He even said that he thinks he felt the self dissolving stitches.  We tried again at 6 weeks.  6 weeks in,  it was uncomfortable but not enough for us to stop.

I have felt fine since 2 weeks PP but sex is still uncomfortable at 7 weeks PP.

I had an unmedicated vagina delivery with a small second degree tear. I took ipubrofen for a few days after delivery to help with the pain. Everything down there just felt super swollen. The ice packs in the hospital felt SOOOO good. Peeing and pooping (happened 4 days pp) wasn't really painful at all! I did take colace for the first two weeks though to help with that. I probably felt almost normal around 6 weeks and felt really good at 8. My vagina was sore for probably the first week and the stitches felt like they were going to tear every time I laughed or coughed or sneezed for like a week and a half. It was the worst! I'm 3 months postpartum now and I have some scaring from my stitches. It makes the opening of my vagina a little sensitive, but my midwife said with massaging it will eventually feel fine.

My biggest thing was the bleeding. I hated it and had to wait until that decreased. Once it did I started working out. I also made a point to get dressed every day after I was released from the hospital. Works wonders for the way you feel. 
So, about 6 weeks. I'm pregnant again so we'll see this time.
