baby spit up

So my son is 4 months old and he's definitely gaining weight, almost 18 lbs, but every time he eats he spits up almost projectile like. Not really sure what to do. I asked the dr and since he's gaining weight he didn't seem worried about it. But I literally can barely keep clothes on the boy! Any other moms deal with this have any tips on what could at least make it a little more minimal? TIA :)
