how do you find "The One"?

I think I have... of course there are still doubts sometimes but I feel like that's a normal thing... I'm jst looking into how others have decided that they really find "The One" for them!

I didn't find him. He found me. When I had sworn off men after I had found my first love at 30. Guys before that just used and abused me. He cheated and it took me a year and a half to get over him. I worked on myself during that time. Became a strong confident independent woman that didn't need a man. A year later I met him. We got into this huge political debate and i tore him to pieces. And he asked me if I had someone. I said you are better off alone than in bad company. At the time he was 23 and I was 34. I didn't take him seriously. He pursued me for 6 months. I told him sex was not a priority to me that a relationship was and that if he got it that it would not be regularly. We dated and got to know each other. I made him wait a year and a half for sex. Not many 23 year olds wait 2 years for sex. We have been together 4 years. We never fight we are best friends. Things that start fast end fast. He's actually the first guy that I made wait for sex and I'm glad I did. He's the most patient and understanding man. Never pressured me. He respects me, loves me, adores me, can compromise, cares about me and my well being. Wait for a guy like that. Let his actions and effort dictate his intentions.

I knew my husband was the one when he just made me genuinely happy. I've never been so happy and confident in a relationship and he gave that to me. And even when I caught him doing some stupid shit he's the only one who proved to me he was done and changing and deleted everything without me even having to ask. I can go on and on why but honestly I think you just know when you found the one. At least I had a different feeling with him that I never had before so that's how I just knew deep down.
