Too much pressure???

Question

My husband says he feels pressured when I say my days of a higher chance of getting pregnant are coming... he says he can't perform.. though it doesn't seem he even tries... it's almost as if he's avoiding sex altogether around those days.. yet says he wants us to get pregnant (we do not have children yet)... 
He says the same thing when I am stressed out or a tad grumpy... which is related to lack of sex because my drive is constantly high... it's like he can't keep up with me anymore?? We are only in our late 20s and have been together for almost 5 years now. We have been through a lot emotionally the last couple of years, but if nothing is mentioned about my cycle or my emotions we have sex 1-3 times a week... otherwise he avoids any sort of "interaction" altogether.. unless it's in his sleep..?
Any suggestions, ideas, thoughts... I just feel like I'm less attractive or too demanding or something. Help...??

My husband was the same. When I used to tell him I was ovulating he would act like he had gone off sex. If I pushed him to make love he would often loose his erecting.  It turned out that he felt so stressed to try to get me pregnant that performance anxiety was stopping him getting anywhere. Now I don't tell him when I'm ovulating and he is fine all month.

If y'all have been trying for a while, he could be scared about his fertility? Maybe he's worried that if y'all do the BD on your fertile day, and you don't become pregnant, he will feel like less of a man, and he's scared that that might happen? I don't know! Maybe sit and talk about if y'all really do want children right now (maybe he's scared to be a father?), and then try NOT telling him about your fertility. Just let him think it's more spontaneous, and less pressured!

It sounds like hormone imbalance to me. Maybe have him get a check up? Even in a man's late 20s he can have low testosterone.

Don't tell him you're on your best days, just make him feel loved and wanted even if it once or twice a week!!

People think you need to be at it like rabbits to get pregnant but I personally think that hinders rather than helps. I've been pregnant twice with my partner and both times we had only had sex 2/3 times in a month one at the beginning, once when I got a nearly positive ovulation test and once after I got a positive! I got pregnant both times within 1/2 months xx

When my fertile week was coming up I would write the dates and percentage chance on our dry erase board so he could see it. It took a lot of his pressure away because it wasn't so obvious as me telling him.

Sounds like maybe it's feeling more functional than fun to him. Why don't you just not tell him when you're ovulating? He doesn't need to know, as long as you do.

My hubby was the exact same way the first few cycles of trying.  we sat and talked about it and agreed I just tell him the first day of green week per this app. No mention of peak days percentages etc. just the first day and we go from there it helped a lot on both of our sides he is aware of fertile days still but does not have the pressure anymore and I'm not sitting here looking at every damn percentage of that day lol

Just talk to him openly and honestly. It may be scary to hear the truth about where he's coming from but better than forcing an issue. You're young and have plenty of time. His actions are speaking great volumes. So get some words to go along with his actions so you don't misinterpret.
