Today I went in for my second ultrasound. The first one according to my period was when I was five weeks and we say nothing. She said it was normal with this begging so early. Three weeks late (today) I went in again. Tech said I should be around eight weeks. So I got all gelled up and we looked for the baby. What we say was an empty sac. I was kind of worried so we measured it and according to the size it was five weeks and five days. She told me there were two possibilities, the first being that since my period wasn't regular we were off by a few weeks. No big deal. But the second was that it was a blighted ovum. Meaning I have the sac but no baby. I go back in a week to try and see him again and I'm terrified that he's not that. That he was never there.
