moving on advice

hi y'all! i'm in high school, and i recently hooked up with this guy i've been talking to for awhile! it went great and we drove around afte and talked and everything felt really easy and it was great to have that connection! but now he's saying he still has feelings for his ex, which i had asked him about before and he denied, and he said he's trying to move on from her. then he said he wants to get to know me better because we could possibly be more in the future. at this point, i'm ready to get out of the situation because i know his ex has feelings for him as well, and i'm just getting in the middle. unfortunately, i'm struggling to let go of the fact that he was so easy to be with and i'm having trouble moving on. please help :)
