birth control to avoid headaches

I was on birth control from age 16-18 and when I was 19 I got pregnant with my first son. I'm now 23 almost 24 and ever since I got off the birth control I get bad headaches before and during my period. No headaches while pregnant or when I didn't get periods due to breastfeeding. I remember when I was on the birth control (I took Yaz) it prevented these headaches. Has anyone had similar experiences? What birth control do you recommend or what has worked for you to prevent hormonal headaches? I will talk to my OB about this but I want a good idea of what to stay away from or what to ask about. Thanks!
